Photo tour Iceland      20.7. - 4.8.2013
Coastel landscapes and highland regions

The destination of this 16-day photo tour are Iceland’s natural wonders: the mythical Snaefellsnes Peninsula in the beginning, later the vast and barren yet varied highland plateaus with active volcanic craters and bubbling hot springs. The colour-saturated and water-fringed coastal areas of the south with their characteristic features of moss, alluvial land, glacier, lagoon, basalt rock and black beach, will present another highlight on this trip. There will be plenty of time at each location to take in the atmosphere and specific charm. Due to light issues some locations will be visited mainly in the early morning or late afternoon /evening hours.

Main highlights of the tour:
  • fjords and coastal landscapes of the west and south : Snaefellsnes, Dyrholaey, Reynisfjara, Skeidarsandur
  • visiting the three highland regions: Kaldidalur, Kjölur und Landmannalaugur
  • some of Iceland’s main tourist attractions: Pingvellir, Geysir, Skaftafell, Gletscherlagune Jökulsarlon
  • some of the most beautiful waterfalls at: Hraunfossar, Gulfoss, Gjain, Stornafoss, Svartifoss, Skogafoss, Seljalandsfoss
